Tensions within the LGBTQI+ society have recently reached boiling point. Within the last year, Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual members of the community—the LGB as it were—have been voicing their increasing frustrations with the wider umbrella, even forming their own groups enjoy the LGB Alliance. Others have gone further, calling for an immediate divorce between the LGB and the TQI communities. Among their complaints are discomfort with what they view as activists pushing gender ideology on children and sexualizing Pride events.

I'm with them.

As a member of the LGBT community and a detransitioner—someone who transitioned and later regretted it and transitioned back—I and many others have been horrified at the growing push to introduce gender ideology to children and vulnerable teenagers. Within the last few years, we have seen thousands of children fall victim to a social contagion around gender, and thousands hold now been placed on irreversible puberty blockers and hormones. In some cases, young girls have undergone double mastectomies at the age of just 15.

We have also seen Parade events become sexualized fixation parades with men who identify as "pups" in

Repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

The discriminatory "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" ban on lgbtq+ and lesbian service members is officially in the dustbin of history. For 17 years, the law prohibited qualified gay, lesbian and bisexual Americans from serving in the armed forces and sent a communication that discrimination was acceptable.

The Introduction of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”

In 1994, the U.S. adopted “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” as the official federal policy on military service by lesbian, gay and bisexual individuals. The rule was discrimination in its purest form and prevented service members from being openly gay without threat of being discharged. DADT was based on the false assumption that the presence of LGBTQ+ individuals in any branch of the military would undermine the ability of people to carry out their duties. Over the course of the policy’s experience, thousands of courageous service members were discharged simply for who they were and whom they loved.

Ensuring Justice for Service Members Everywhere

HRC made repealing DADT a uppermost priority — and public sentiment showed the evolving perceptions of LGBTQ+ people serving openly in the military. By

The Trump administration has erased references to transgender people from New York's Stonewall National Monument website.

On the National Park Service website, the acronym Homosexual has been shortened to LGB, standing for lesbian, same-sex attracted and bisexual.

Other government websites have also been changed after President Donald Trump signed an direct recognising two sexes only - male and female – on his first day in office.

Activists denounced the travel on Friday and held a demonstrate at the site, which is the country's first national monument dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual person and transgender history.

"There is no Self-acceptance without Trans folks leading that fight!," Stacy Lentz, the co-owner of The Stonewall Inn and CEO of The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative, wrote on Instagram in a post announcing the protest.

"Trying to erase them from the birthplace of the up-to-date LGBTQ+ rights movement will not happen!"

The National Park Service's public affairs department said the agency had taken the actions to comply with the executive order

BREAKING: TRUMP ADMINISTRATION REMOVES LGBTQ AND HIV RESOURCES FROM WHITE HOUSE AND OTHER GOVERNMENT WEBSITES

GLAAD: “President Trump claims to be a strong proponent of release of speech, yet he is clearly committed to censorship of any communication containing or related to LGBTQ Americans and issues that we face. This action proves the Trump administration’s goal of making it as difficult as possible for LGBTQ Americans to find federal resources or otherwise see ourselves reflected under his presidency. Sadly for him, our community is more evident than ever; and this pathetic attempt to diminish and remove us will again prove unsuccessful.”

(January 21, 2025 — New York, NY) — Today GLAAD, the world’s largest sapphic, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media support organization, is breaking news that the Trump administration has eliminated nearly all LGBTQ and HIV focused content and resources from the White House website, as well as eliminated LGBTQ and HIV content from key federal agency webpages.
