About our support groups
The Gender Centre organises and facilitates a range of groups for our collective including:
- Transtopia support groups for gender questioning youth or youth in transition (12-17)
- Partners Support Group for partners of gender non-conforming and gender diverse people
- TGD Parents Help Group for parents of trans & gender diverse youth
- Over 40s Support organization for transgender, gender diverse and gender questioning people
- Young Women’s Support Group for people who name as transgender female or questioning aged between 25 and 39.
- Non-binary Support for people who name anywhere within the gender variant spectrum and are over 18
- FTM Connect for those who recognize as transgender male or questioning and aged from 17 and above
These groups provide support and access to resources and community, from diverse gender specific groups including genderqueer questioning, neutral, neutrois dealing with specific issues or aspects of transition providing a safe supportive space to link and be themselves.

Afternoon T.E.A is a group for transgender young people aged 16-25: The Proud Trust
Action for Trans Health
The UK’s largest campaign for democratic transgender healthcare. They give miniature grants to trans people to enable them to access healthcare, deliver coaching to medical professionals, provide healthcare advocacy, and back and deliver local gender non-conforming health initiatives. They own groups in Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds and Brighton. Please contact them to discover a meeting near you.

Rainbow Noir
Rainbow Noir is a social and peer help group for people of colour who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Queer and/or Intersex (LGBTQI). They meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Manchester’s LGBT Centre on Sidney St.

We Manually Confirm and Review Each Group
Our small team manually authorize each group on the Trans Unite website. We look at their offering and the type of group they run, whether it is help with coming out, coping with discrimination, confidence and digital dating, or activities such as crafts, board games, photography and workshops. We’ll list it right here.
All the groups listed are sprint by either volunteers or staff, so if you feel like you desire some assurance or more information, please talk to them, they are here to help you. You can message them vertical from this website via the “Contact Group”

Welcome to the Trans Social Club! Whether you're looking to attach in person or online, our clubs offer a supportive and vibrant room for transgender, gender diverse and non-binary individuals to come together, build friendships, and just be yourselves.
"As someone new to Naarm and from a CALD background, attending the Transitioned Social Club has been incredibly meaningful. I hold found it to be supportive and affirming, providing a space where I can connect with others who walk the equal path and feel less alone."
Our in-person Trans Social Club meets every second Friday evening at Assertion Station (Brunswick East) from 5 PM - 7 PM.
Each session is facilitated by our TGV team, with activities planned to spark conversation, foster connections, and have plenty of fun. It's a wonderful opportunity to join other TGD people in a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment.
Join our online Trans Social Club on the first Monday of each month from 5 PM - 6:15 PM via Zoom. Our TGV team brings a range of crafts and creative activities directly to your screen, providing a supportive and inclusive virtual sp
