Gay Option
Riding the bull is truly the horniest option.
When a video game—usually a dedicated Passion Game, RPGs, or Wide-Open Sandbox—allows the player to pursue a love interest of the identical gender alongside a bevy of heterosexual options.
This trope has increased in prevalence since the late 2000s due to increased representation of queer people. And as an interactive medium, it's possible for a game to involve such content while giving those uninterested in same-sex intimacy the option of skipping it. This means that games that include adoration have increasingly allowed the protagonist the option to relationship a few characters of the matching gender.
When the story is built around the intimacy as opposed to the romance entity a sidequest, then it overlaps with Queer Romance. For Japanese games where being gay is not just an option but the game itself is themed on it, see the video game sections of Yuri Genre (for lesbians) and Yaoi Genre (for same-sex attracted males). This may or may not overlap with Optional Sexual Encounter, since a game won't always go that far.

Ace of Spades follows Devon and Chiamaka, the only black students at the prestigious Niveus Academy as they begin recieving anonymous texts from someome calling themself Aces. Aces begins leaking damaging information about the pair and spreading nasty rumours, leading to Chiamaka’s fall from the social ladder and similar misery for Devon. Whilst the pair have nothing in common but their skin colour, they are forced to pair up to stop Aces, all before they lose everything. But how can you play the game when the cards are stacked against you?
Ace of Spades was such a brilliant read and I loved how Àbíké-Íyímídé blended together some classic YA tropes with some very genuine issues. The Private Academy setting and anonymous texts gave Gossip Girl or Pretty Little Liars vibes, really playing into the beloved teen genre however the issues at hand and final reveals went so much further. Throughout the story Àbíké-Íyímídé was able to build up tension with every unveil and as things got worse and worse for Devon and Chiamaka they got more and more exciting for us.
Devon was a really kind character and I liked his
