Op-Ed: First Amendment Defense Execute (FADA) Is Bad for Business

This week the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), the business voice of the LGBT community, wrote to the United States Home Committee on Oversight & Government Reform to motivate them to reject the so-called First Amendment Defense Act being considered by that committee this week. Not only is marriage equality now a right afforded to all Americans by the Supreme Court of the United States, so is the right to live without dread of discrimination or hatred codified into national statute. The NGLCC is the largest national advocacy organization assigned to expanding the economic opportunities and advancements of the LGBT business people. Representing more than 1.4 million LGBT business owners, 140+ corporate partners, and 50+ local, state, and international affiliate chambers, NGLCC is the largest LGBT business development and economic advocacy organization in the world.
