Alpine skiing gay sex
As the mountaintops above the French resort of Les Menuires blush peach in the setting sun, European Gay Ski Week 2018’s daily après-ski session on the large terrace of Tex Mex pizzeria hits its stride. Around 300 LGBTQ+ men and women bounce, beers, vins chauds or champagne in hand, to the funky house basslines throbbing from the sound system. Gym-pumped go-go boys on podiums tease the crowd beneath flapping rainbow banners and kaleidoscopic drag giantesses snap into supermodel shapes on stage. And then the music stops. “I desire you all to dispatch some love today to one of our family who is recovering in hospital,” says singer Tonnic over the mic.
“There’s more to the event than just pornstar-bodied boys in precariously overloaded undercrackers”
For the first time in its ten-year history, the nomadic Alpine sports and social festival had suffered homophobic aggression – not once, but twice. The first physical attack on European Gay Ski Week (EGSW) guests resulted in swift arrests and charges – and thankfully didn’t cause any major impair. But the second left a guest – who’d been by himself after a party – with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the clutch
We've rounded up all the best queer skiing events around the world, from North America to Europe, Asia, and the Pacific.
The star is setting. The evenings are getting darker. The department stores are starting to play Mariah Carey, and you still have lots of places to tick off your travel list!
Fear not, there are still plenty of singular things to accomplish across the nature during winter. The number one thing we recommend: skiing! Yes, I recognize, you mightn't believe of us as avid snow bunnies (especially Skiing Scared Stefan), but we love it. The snow. The endearing resorts. The outfits. What's there to not like?
Plus, regardless of how much you've skied before, you get so much enjoyment out of it. It's like riding a bike and riding a rollercoaster all at once. And if you've never skied before, don't worry! All you need is a quick lesson and you'll have the essentials down. Good, you won't be sliding down Everest anytime soon, but you'll definitely be able to savor some fabulous skiing.
So without further ado, we present our favorite upcoming queer skiing holidays from Europe, North America, and the linger of the world.
Smart shortcut…

Ski Holiday
Ski Holiday
It was February and when the Austrian Alps beckoned, I could not resist. There is something particular about the European mountains in the early part of the year; covered in glistening snow, fresh snow every few days, sunny days, and stunning starry nights. Skiing in the Alps is different from other places. People are very amiable and the night is usually a mix of awesome skiing and partying in the various restaurants interspersed along the trails and at night. It is the utopian winter break.
This particular time I set up myself sharing a chalet at the base of one of the mountains with about five other fellows from various countries around Europe and one guy from the US, for almost two weeks. We were mostly strangers to each other, but this type of shared encounter accelerates bonding and friendship. We skied together some days and went our separate ways on others depending upon our endurance and the weather.
On the third day, I met a not many guys in one of the mountain restaurants at lunchtime and we had a very agreeable time, but it also provided a preview of things to come. One of two fellows from Germany sat very close to me on the bench and had a sly smi

Queenstown's annual Gay Ski Week could become the subject of a University of Otago "situational risk" study on gay men's sexual behaviour during major overseas sporting and social events.
Headed by Dr Peter Saxton, of the university's Auckland-based Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, researchers are conducting the examine entitled "Sun, Snow, Sport, Sex" with the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society and Melbourne's La Trobe University in association with the New Zealand Aids Foundation.
The primary highlight is on HIV and the resurgence of syphilis among gay populations in major Western cities including Sydney and Melbourne.
The Winter Festival event is billed as the "biggest gay alpine party in the southern hemisphere" and runs in the last week of July.
Gay Ski Week New Zealand 2011 (GSWNZ) had been eyed as a research platform but Dr Saxton said enough valuable data was gathered from more than 450 gay men who took part in the analyze at the second Asia Pacific Outgames held in Wellington in March.
"We're still thinking of including Gay Ski Week in Queenstown but probably not until 2012, and it may
